With the opening of Ama Ghar in 2001, we established a loving home and access to education for underprivileged Nepalese children. We also became members of the surrounding village and felt compelled to do what we could to be a productive part of it.
Currently we provide scholarships to children from our community who cannot afford the fees, uniform, and books required to attend the government schools. For as little as $200 a year, these children live at home and attend school. Without this support they could be forced to work in difficult conditions to support their families.
