Visit Ama Ghar In Nepal

If you are planning a trip to Nepal and looking for a way to get more out of traveling, a visit to Ama Ghar is a great place to start! You’ll get the opportunity to interact with the Ama Ghar children, meet local people, and experience Nepal from a unique perspective. We are looking for energetic and inspired individuals and groups who want to share their culture and their skills with the children. Whether you enjoy music, karate, or algebra, go on walks or play volleyball and Scrabble the children and staff at Ama Ghar gain valuable experience from each visitor’s presence. You are welcome to stay in our guest apartment; you will be expected to cover the cost of your stay (currently $25.00 US per day, which includes room and board) and are also encouraged to sustain our program with a donation.

Download our visitor information here:    or contact Bonnie Ellison, our Country Director in Nepal,  by email at info@ama-foundation.org. We will ask you to fill out a Visitor Questionnaire and submit it to us by email so that we can make the most of your stay.
